Theme for the Week: Being Obedient
". . . The LORD God, merciful and
gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping
mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and
that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the
third and to the fourth generation" (Exodus 34:6-7).
† Thought for the Day †
“We
might think that something or someone is the best thing since sliced
bread, but if God tells us that it is not good for us, then it is not
good for us. If we disobey God, then there are consequences for us” (Loaded With Benefits, Page 44).
Prayer for the Week
We pray, in the name of Jesus, that we will heed God’s call to have
compassion for others. We pray that we will be tenderhearted and
courteous, not returning evil for evil, but on the contrary blessing,
knowing that we are called to this, that we may inherit a blessing. It is according to Your good and perfect will that we pray. To God be the Glory! Amen.
Memory Scripture for the Week
1 Peter 3:8-9; 8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9Not
rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise
blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit
a blessing.
